Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 2015

Deputy Chief Executive Officer Gerard Tan giving a welcome speech

Ho! Ho! Ho! Sutera Harbour Resort welcomes the festive season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held at the Lobby of The Magellan Sutera Resort on 1 Dec 2015.

With Joy & Love

Celebrating “A Family Christmas”, this year’s event was opened to all Resort’s guests, staff and their families as well as the public. According to our Deputy Chief Executive Officer Gerard Tan, this was to encourage the spirit of togetherness as a community and to share the Sabahan’s warmth and hospitality with our Resort guests.

Let's celebrate

25 children from Seri Mengasih Centre also joined in the merriment as part of the Resort’s Corporate Social Responsibility effort.

The evening began with the harmonious medley of Christmas classics by D’Angels Music Academy which consisted of performers from as young as 4 years of age.

The event then continued with the candle lighting led by 14 children where they share the light, symbolic to the festive season’s spirit of sharing and giving.

10-year old Myra Lilly Aduk mesmerised the crowd with her rendition of the “Oh Holy Night” and “All I Want For Christmas Is You” during the lighting of the 30-feet Christmas tree and the other Christmas decorations at the lobby.

Merry Christmas everyone

The night ended with in high spirits as the staff of The Magellan Sutera Resort performed a Christmas flash mob at the lobby, followed by light refreshments served at Tarik’s Lounge.
