KOTA KINABALU: Ketua Menteri Sabah, Tan Sri Musa Aman hari ini melancarkan kemudahan WiFi percuma bagi bandar raya ini iaitu 'KK City WiFi'.
Kemudahan WiFi itu membolehkan orang ramai mengakses internet secara percuma di sepanjang Jalan Tuan Fuad Stephens iaitu dari kompleks beli-belah Oceanus hingga ke Suria Sabah.
Ketika melancarkan kemudahan itu di sini, sebentar tadi, Musa berkata, 'KK City WiFi' bakal tambah memajukan produk pelancongan tempatan, sekali gus menaikkan imej bandar raya ini.
"Ia juga landasan mewujudkan inisiatif awam pada masa akan datang dalam membangun serta memantapkan rangkaian digital e-kerajaan.
"Saya yakin ia berupaya menarik lebih banyak pelaburan langsung asing (FDI), seterusnya menjadikan Kota Kinabalu mesra perniagaan dan selesa untuk didiami serta dilawati," katanya.
Yang turut hadir ialah Menteri Komunikasi dan Multimedia, Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak; Menteri Pelancongan, Kebudayaan dan Alam Sekitar negeri, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun dan Datuk Bandar Kota Kinabalu, Datuk Yee Boon Hai.
Musa berkata, pelancaran 'KK City Wifi' juga bakal menjadikan Kota Kinabalu bandar raya hab digital.
Bersandarkan kepada teknologi dalam bandar raya pintar, pengguna boleh melakukan kerja di mana dan pada bila-bila masa.
"Ini membolehkan masyarakat melakukan banyak perkara dalam satu masa dan sudah tentu dapat meningkatkan keberkesanan serta produktiviti negeri dan negara kita," katanya.
Sehubungan itu, beliau meminta warga bandar raya ini, peniaga mahupun pelancong untuk mengaplikasikan sepenuhnya kewujudan 'KK City WiFi' untuk manfaat dan faedah bersama.
Terdahulu, Salleh berkata, pelaksanaan projek diterajui Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu (DBKK) dengan pihak swasta itu, seiring matlamat Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM) dalam menambah baik infrastruktur komunikasi di Sabah.
"Menerusi peluang ini, saya berharap pengusaha atau usahawan produk tempatan dan perkhidmatan di negeri ini, khususnya di Kota Kinabalu memanfaatkan rangkaian WiFi ini bagi perluasan pemasaran produk dan perkhidmatan," katanya.

KUALA LUMPUR,– The Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) today revealed the Top 18 finalists of Miss Universe Malaysia 2018 at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur following a series of auditions and roadshows held across the nation in search of potential talents who can personify all the values and attributes of Miss Universe Malaysia on the world stage.

The 18 finalists will undergo Boot Camp where they have to live together at the MUMO House for 12 days, away from their family and friends and undergo a series of training sessions which includes pageant knowledge, catwalk training, grooming, fitness, photo shoots, interviews and styling challenges. Competition will be tough, and only the strongest in spirit and mind will survive the gruelling week.
The journey of the 18 finalists will be captured and shown over 20 webisodes in a reality show series on online lifestyle channel, www.hurr.tv starting December 2017. Viewers can also catch the seven episodes-series on DIVA, available exclusively on Astro Channel 702 and DIVA HD Astro Channel 723.
The crowning of Miss Universe Malaysia 2018 will take place on 24 January 2018 at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. As Miss Universe Malaysia 2018, she will have the opportunity of a lifetime to travel abroad representing the country at the Miss Universe pageant at a yet-to-be-revealed location. Additionally, she will also receive a cash prize of RM50,000, sponsored prizes worth over RM150,000 and a full education scholarship from HELP University.

Persatuan Hemodialis Kinabalu Sabah will organizing a fundraising Charity Bazaar on 8 October 2017, Sunday from 9am till 2pm in conjunction with the 12th-anniversary celebration at Likas Sports Complex Badminton Hall. The event is expecting about more than 1000 supporters who bought the bazaar coupons, sponsors, participating outlets, performers, volunteers, and patients.
The bazaar will be graced by Mayor of Kota Kinabalu City, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Yeo Boon Hai together with the Persatuan Hemodialisis Kinabalu, Sabah’s patron Tan Sri Datuk David Chu Sui Kiong, advisor Mr. Loh Suan Phang and the chairman Mr. Lim Heok Chye. There will be a costume contest, live stage performances, scrumptious food stalls, fun games carnivals, free health screening and blood donation drive. Apart from that, JCI Tanjung Aru will be joining as well for the 4th year to make the event more successful where there will be a FREE health screening and blood donation drive with their own blood donation campaign called JCI Tanjung Aru Red Saver Blood Donation Drive.
Persatuan Hemodialisis Kinabalu, Sabah hopes to raise fund by selling out at least 9,000 bazaar coupon booklets at RM50 each to raise RM450,000.00 and more by getting supports as well as donations from the generous public too. In addition to that, PHKS also selling out soft toys and collectible items as well to raise fund. The fund raised will be used for in running the centre operations and subsidies the treatment fees further as there are more new patients on the waiting list to join the centre.
