Around the World with SOULed OUT Kota Kinabalu!



SOULed OUT Kota Kinabalu is taking its customers on a culinary journey around the world with its newly revamped menu that introduces a wide breadth of international flavours to the popular waterside hangout.


With a storied history of more than two decades in the Malaysian food scene, the SOULed OUT Group of restaurants is known for its SO Lip-Smacking Food that inspires returning regulars to recommend it to friends and family. As one of five SOULed OUT franchisees throughout Malaysia, SOULed OUT Kota Kinabalu welcomes more than 30 new additions to their menu as part of its continuous efforts to elevate the comfort food proposition on which the brand has been built.


“The additions to the menu are about inclusion and embracing diverse cuisines from around the world. We want to cater to a wider range of taste profiles, so no matter what you are in the mood for, you can get it at SOULed OUT Kota Kinabalu. Sutera Harbour Resort, giving a better future for rural youth in Sabah


Kota Kinabalu: A total of 21 participants graduated from the Sutera Harbour Resort Rural Youth Hospitality Programme. The initiative was established by Sutera Harbour Resort as part of its corporate social responsibility with a focus to develop the rural youth in Sabah. 

The tailored programmes lasted six months and it focused on a hands-on hospitality training that comprised theory, soft skills training and practical learning in the hospitality industry.


Head of Programme, Aldana Kimin, said standard quality skills must be developed in order to meet the industry demands. 

“The programme course designed to expose and train participants in various modules. It will not only give our Sabahan youth the skills, knowledge and the standard hospitality industry technique; but also to ensure that they have access in the marketplace,” she said.


Aldana who is the Group Director of Human Resource and Training of Sutera Harbour Resort also stated that the programme will continue in the effort to promote hospitality as a preferred profession for the youth.


“We are committed to see that youths are given the skills, resources and opportunities to succeed. We are happy to announce that 80 per cent of the participants have been absorbed as permanent associates here in Sutera Harbour Resort,” she said.


She reiterated priority was given to participants from less advantage family as well as single parent family background to provide them the opportunity to improve their future.

The participants selected around rural area targeting youth from rural area include Kota Marudu, Kota Belud and Keningau; age between 16 to 25 years of age and they need to have the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia certificate.
