Electric Violinist Dennis Lau Releases New Album "The Journey"

Sophomore album charts Dennis' road to success as musician and entrepreneur

Kota Kinabalu, 12th December 2015 - Dennis Lau, Malaysia's most renowned electric violinist, has released his second album titled The Journey. Distributed by Warner Music Malaysia and produced by Mosaic Entertainment Group,

the album captures the essence of Dennis 27-years journey in becoming an accomplished musician and entrepreneur.

The Journey, which took Dennis 5 years to complete, is a follow up to his debut album DiversiFy (2009) and features collaborations with local artistes and musicians who have in some way impacted his musical career. They include Jojo Struys, Abigail Chew, Michael Leaner, Soo Wincci, Esmond Chong, Yuri Wong, Mots and more.

The contemporary R&B album showcases Dennis' experimentation with the modern sound of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) as showcased in the title track The Journey, which was produced by award-winning Los Angeles-based producer/ songwriter Tat Tong.

However, the track closest to Dennis' heart is My Mama Says, which he collaborated with 11-year old award-winning actress Crystal Lee. His mother, who is a piano teacher herself, bears much of the credit for Dennis' passion for music and is the inspiration behind the only track in the album that he wrote the lyrics.

commenting on his album, Dennis said: "The Journey is obviously very personal to me as it charts my 27-year musical adventure since i was 3 years old. Along the way, I've had the pleasure of meeting so many talented individuals who served as inspiration for my music and some of who have made it into the album. it too me five year to finish The Journey, but i still have much more to accomplish oon this seemingly endless journey of mine".

During the album launch event held at Shenanigan's Fun Pub Hyatt Regency Kota Kinabalu. Dennis performed a selection of tracks from his new album, including The Journey.
