WALK-IN AUDITIONS FOR THE NEXT MISS UNIVERSE MALAYSIA 2015-EAST MALAYSIA ROUND

Kota Kinabalu,26 September 2014- Calling all aspiring beauty queens! The Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) will be holding walk-in auditions in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in search of The Next Miss Malaysia 2015.

Walk-in auditions will be held on Saturday 2014 from 10am to 5pm at Novotel Kota Kinabalu 1Borneo. The audition is open to all non-Muslim Malaysia females aged between 18 to 26 years as of February 2015 with a minimum height of 165cm, who think they have what it takes to be Malaysia's representative to the Miss Universe pageant.


The Miss Universe Malaysia title holder can expect a life-changing experience once she wear the crown. As Miss Universe Malaysia, she will carry the title wherever she goes, and automatically become a public figure. She will have a platform to brand herself and carry out what is is passionate about. In addition, she will also have opportunities to network with prominent, influential figures all over the world and work with leading fashion players, and at the same time, be challenged emotionally, mentally and physically. 

Unlike previous years, this year's audition is extended to East Malaysia. Grooming and training will begin from the point of selection to the finals with the selection process focused on the contestant's dedication and ability to adapt and improve throughout the process. The shortlisted contestants will also be featured in a Reality TV show to be broadcasted on 8TV. 


The local pageant for Miss Universe Malaysia 2015 will be held in Kuala Lumpur in April 2015. The crowned winner will have an opportunity of a lifetime to travel abroad representing Malaysia at the Miss Universe pageant to be held in the later part of 2015. Additionally, she will also receive a cash prize of RM48,000 and sponsored prizes worth over RM100,000.

Qualified young women who are up for the challenge are invited to attend the walk-in auditions for a chance to represent Malaysia in wearing of of the most PRESTIGIOUS title in the pageant world. For enquiries, please email contact@mumo.com.my

Carey Ng

Crowned as Miss Universe Malaysia 2013, Kuala Lumpur-born beauty Carey Ng personifies the image of a beauty queen. Named as one of FHM's 100 Most Wanted in 2014, Carey also took home four subsidiary titles at the Miss Universe Malaysia pageant.

Standing at 175cm tall, the 26-year old architectural graduate is also a trained ballet dancer and ex-rhythmic gymnast. Winning the crown has paved her path in the world of show business and entertainment, where she is a regular face in television commercials and print ads, as well as catwalk model for various shows. She has also appeared as the TV hos for MyEG Xtratime on Astro Supersports, and was featured in various print publications including local dailies and magazines like Elle, Female, Nuyou, GLAM and Esquire.

Additionally, Carey is also adept behind the microphone, acting as emcee and spokesperson for various brand events. Most recently, Carey was appointed as the National Director of Miss Universe Malaysia Organization to mentor and guide the next Miss Universe Malaysia 2015, and prepare her on her journey to the Miss Universe pageant on the international stage.
