Kota Kinabalu: January 2013 – Vivian Chu, the current
Executive Assistant Manager of Novotel Kota Kinabalu 1Borneo became the first
Sabahan to be selected to participate in Accor Group’s GM Pass Asia Program.
GMPass Asia Program
is a 12 months Personal Development Plan aiming to prepare a few selected
managers within Asia for a future as General Manager. There will be a list of
recommended projects, assignments, on the job experiences and training programs
to develop the skills and advancement based on Accor Asia General Manager key
competencies.

herself to be highly passionate about the hotel industry and her 13 years of
hotel experience certainly make her an asset to Novotel. We’re confident

while undertaking the development program.” The hotel has also trained,
recognized and promoted four other Sabahans to Executive Level who are now
heading the departments.
A native of Kota
Kinabalu, Vivian joins Novotel Kota Kinabalu 1Borneo in 2009. Prior to her
appointment, she was Director of Sales at The Empire Hotel & Country Club
Brunei Darussalam and Sales Manager at Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai. She
also held a position at 1Borneo Management Corporation as Deputy Director
Centre Management / Retail Director.
