The first ever Kota Kinabalu Food and Bakery Bake Fiesta (KKFBBF) 2014 was a resounding success, drawing an unexpected crowd of more than 10,000 people during its 2-day run at Suria Sabah Shopping Centre held on 26-27 April 2014.
Managing Director of Eleventh Avenue Marketing, organizer of the KKFBBF 2014, Alfred Allen Ginsos says that the success of the event was thanks to the trust of the participants and the support by the local community and food lovers everywhere.
"Building a food platform event is not an easy task without the teamwork from all the related food and pastry industries players. We are grateful that they have given us a chance to prove our ability and the outcome was this event that has even exceeded our own expectations".
He said that during KKFBBF 2014, not only did the participants receive the crowds and sales but also made a lot of positive networks within the local community in Kota Kinabalu.
Kota Kinabalu City Mayor Datuk Abidin Madingkir officiated KKFBBF 2014 and expressed his hope that it would become a yearly event in the city.
Publicity for KKFBBF 2014 was covered by the local press as well as media partners FLEW Magazine, Mejarasakk.blogspot.com, Malaysiacuisine.com and Foodiotkk.com.
Allen said the highlight of KKFBBF 2014 was that visitors were given the chance of sampling free food, pastries and drinks offered by various food eateries and new comers to KK city's food and pastry scene.
"We would to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the overwhelming support for this event and we hope to organize an even better event next year," he said.
