Head Chef Effardy launches his latest specialties which will be launch in early June 2016 at 5th Avenue Bistro & Café, anticipating that more diners specially food aficionados to dine and try out the food that offered in the bistro. 5th Avenue is a western bistro and cafe that wish to satisfy diners who are craving for western and some local food.
Chef Effardy started his culinary career in his 20s and after working with several restaurants in Kota Kinabalu, he decided to move to Auckland, New Zealand to gain more experience. While he’s in New Zealand, he ever worked with Celebrity Chefs Al Brown and Paul Jobin, and multi-award winning Chef Roberto Manuel.
Then five years later, he decided to come back to Kota Kinabalu where he has been the Head Chef at 5th Avenue for over a year now.
5th Avenue is a non halal Bistro Cafe serving pork which has three food and beverage outlets such as the all-day dining Café at the first floor, Bistro and Fun Pub both at the ground floor level.
The Café serves mainly authentic Chinese cuisine and local favourites which available all day from 8am till 12 midnights, while the Bistro serving western food for lunch, hi-tea and dinner.
The fun pub has a chilling and warm atmosphere for patrons to unwind after a long working day which also offers pool table and dart facilities. Happy Hours starts as early as 2pm till 9pm and the bar will be close at 2am. Located at Lot 1, 2, 3 and 4, Phase 4, Taman Foo Loong, Luyang, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
