PKHS FUNDRAISING CHARITY BAZAAR SUCCESSFULLY WITH BIG TURN OUT

Persatuan Hemodialis Kinabalu Sabah will organizing a fundraising Charity Bazaar on 8 October 2017, Sunday from 9am till 2pm in conjunction with the 12th-anniversary celebration at Likas Sports Complex Badminton Hall. The event is expecting about more than 1000 supporters who bought the bazaar coupons, sponsors, participating outlets, performers, volunteers, and patients.

The bazaar will be graced by Mayor of Kota Kinabalu City, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Yeo Boon Hai together with the Persatuan Hemodialisis Kinabalu, Sabah’s patron Tan Sri Datuk David Chu Sui Kiong, advisor Mr. Loh Suan Phang and the chairman Mr. Lim Heok Chye. There will be a costume contest, live stage performances, scrumptious food stalls, fun games carnivals, free health screening and blood donation drive. Apart from that, JCI Tanjung Aru will be joining as well for the 4th year to make the event more successful where there will be a FREE health screening and blood donation drive with their own blood donation campaign called JCI Tanjung Aru Red Saver Blood Donation Drive.

Persatuan Hemodialisis Kinabalu, Sabah hopes to raise fund by selling out at least 9,000 bazaar coupon booklets at RM50 each to raise RM450,000.00 and more by getting supports as well as donations from the generous public too. In addition to that, PHKS also selling out soft toys and collectible items as well to raise fund. The fund raised will be used for in running the centre operations and subsidies the treatment fees further as there are more new patients on the waiting list to join the centre.

HYATT CELEBRATES THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHT WITH A SPECIAL DEEPAVALI DINNER BUFFET

KOTA KINABALU, MALAYSIA (18 October 2017) – Deepavali is an important festival for the people of the Hindu religion. It is well known as “the festival of light” and is celebrated in all parts of our country.

Spiced aromas and delicious flavors were in abundance as the highlights of the buffet included puri bhaji, achari jhinga, makai pakoras, paneer chatpata and kashmiri pulao.

The hotel’s pastry team led by Chef Kee Roesdyen took 10 days to complete the masterpiece, which was then presented by the Resort’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Gerard Tan and his team, Hotel Manager of The Magellan Sutera Resort, Adrian De Rozario, Hotel Manager of The Pacific Sutera Hotel, Gerry D’Cruz and Group Director of Sales & Marketing, Elaine Kwan.

ACROSS THE STRAIT MUSIC COLLABORATION BREAKS SILENCES

15 SEPTEMBER - Malaysian singer-songwriter KUIZZ’s latest collaboration with LA & Singaporean based artist sees light in a form of a freshly released upbeat track entitled “Silences”. For weeks coming up to the release, KUIZZ has been releasing teaser visuals creating a stir amongst his growing list of Spotify listeners eagerly awaiting his next single. He gained an immense following there thanks to DJs who began re-posting his music on SoundCloud and then through being included in sought after playlists on Spotify. 

Last year, KUIZZ released his debut EP "Till The End" which consisted of 6 self-produced tracks and garnered attention from media and pop music fans alike. The 2nd single "Uncool" which amassed over 100,000 plays on Spotify was even featured on Buzzfeed's "June Playlist" write-up, putting him on the same list as Selena Gomez and Lana Del Rey. 

Haneri who like KUIZZ, has also had some major success in the songwriting world co-writing the #1 K-Pop song "Wave" by R3hab X f(AMBER+LUNA). As an artist, Haneri has been featured on tracks by some of the world's best DJ's like Paul Van Dyke, Avicii and most recently Dash Berlin with his recent release "We Don't Belong".

The two originally met whilst on a writing trip in Los Angeles and worked on a couple demos together to pitch for other artists. A few months later on a brief trip to Malaysia, Haneri dropped by Maveriq Studios to link up with KUIZZ again to co-write and record a track he produced initially for another artist. Within a couple of hours, the song "Silences" was made and KUIZZ felt Haneri 

brought the song to a place where other artists he worked with previously weren't able to.

"Silences is about a relationship drifting apart caused by miscommunication and unspoken words" adds KUIZZ. The songs chorus delivers a catchy and memorable melody but also manages to maintain its emotion throughout. The artwork and lyric video was also designed by KUIZZ himself who dabbles a bit in graphic design as a hobby.
