EWEST PRESENTING SICHUAN DISHES IN THEIR LATEST PROMOTION


Ewest Restaurant, Luyang proudly introducing Chef Pu Ming Song all the way from Chengdu, China to showcase their latest signature dishes along with special Sichuan dishes from November onwards.

Sichuan Style Grilled Lamb Chop

Chef Pu Ming Song (蒲明松) a 30 years old chef with more than 10 years of experience in Chinese cuisine specialised in Sichuan dishes started his career in 2003-2005 at 遂宁市遂州宾馆 (Suining Hotel), then as Head of Sichuan Kitchen at Shanghai Hong Yu Pen (上海红鱼盆大酒店) Restaurant in 2006 – 2008.

Not longafter that, he was appointed as Executive Sous Chef (川厨总监) in 2009-2012 at Dangji Hotspring Resort,Tangshan Town, Nanjing(南京市汤山镇大吉温泉度假村)and in year 2013-2015 worked as Executive Chef of Lanzhou Lijing Hotel (兰州市丽景大酒店).

Mapo Tofu

Sichuan food is a style of Chinese cooking originating from Sichuan province in southwestern China. It has bold flavours, mainly the spiciness resulting from generous use of garlic and chili peppers and the unique flavour of the Sichuan pepper. Among the dishes featured during the food promotion are Mapo Tofu, Steamed Chicken with Chilli Sauce, Sichuan Style Grilled Lamb Chop, Steamed Fish Slice with Twin Pepper, Sour Spicy Soup, Glutinous Rice Balls with Broccoli and many more.

In addition to the Sichuan food promotion, E West will be organizing SPICY FOOD CHALLENGE on 15 December 2016 at 4:30pm, targeting at least 20 diners with a minimum participating fee or free participants for diners who spend at the restaurant.The challenge will be, all participants need to finish off selected Sichuan dishes as fast as they can and win some attractive prizes from E West Restaurant. 

The winners will get F&B cash vouchers from the managementE West Restaurant established since in the 90s in Luyang and moved to a new building in year 2014 just next to the old building. 

Opens daily from 8am till 12 midnight which can accommodate 100 diners, while E West banquet hall can accommodate at least 200 seats for dinner function. For further inquiry and reservation, please contact 088 221 233.

BORNEO SURF FESTIVAL 2016



Sabah Surfing Association is proud to announce the third instalment of Borneo Surf Festival. This yearly anticipated event is slated to be held on it's home ground venue at Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai Kota Kinabalu for 2 -days from December 17th through December 18th 2016 and is open to the public to attend. As with the previous years, this year the event promises an exhilarating surf competition open to local and international surfers alike.



This year Borneo Surf Festival is presented by main sponsor Rip Curl alongside Happy Plugs and supported by The Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Tourism Malaysia and Sabah Tourism Board. 



"We are extremely excited to partner with Rip Curl again this year and getting strong support from tourism agencies like MOTC, Tourism Malaysia and STB. We are also delighted to have Happy Plugs to be a part of Borneo Surf Festival", says Ivan Tan, the president of Sabah Surfing Association. 



This year will see the event being graced yet again by Rip Curl's PRO surfers from Bali after the success nd overwhelming response from the previous event. They will be having a demonstration to impress the crowd with their surfing techniques and skills over Sabah's very own local waves.



Apart from the competition, the public can expect many fun and family oriented activities to be enjoyed with their family and friends at The Borneo Surf Festival. Among others is Tamu Pantai Bazaar that offers varieties of local sourced products and services ranging from clothing, arts and crafts, food and drinks, self-pampering and family fun activities. 



There will also be chill beach music performances by local talents throughout the 2 days event.

Sabah Surfing Association is looking forward to a larger crowd this year seeing that there has been a healthy growth and awareness towards the local Sabah Surfing scene locally and internationally fuelled by the recent acknowledgement and inclusion of surfing as part of upcoming Olympic 2020 in Tokyo.
