Borneo Fruit Festival 2015 @ Oceanus Waterfront Mall from 9th to 20th Sept 2015

The Borneo Fruit Festival 2015 hosted at Oceanus Waterfront Mall was launched by the Chief Minister of Sabah on 11th September 2015

The 12-day event which started from 9th September 2015 is jointly organized by Oceanus Waterfront Mall, Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu and Raw Food Asia, a raw food movement in South East Asia.

FAMA and Jabatan Pertanian were among the exhibitors who participated in promoting the various local fruits available in Sabah. The main objective of the event is to promote the various local fruits of Sabah. Apart from that, it is also to create awareness to our local and international visitors on the importance of consuming fruits on a regular basis.

Ms mewsum Wong, the founder of Raw Food Asia was specially flown in from Brunei to give a talk on the benefits of consuming raw vegetables and fruits. A lawyer by profession, Wong practiced this raw lifestyle more than 5 years ago.

The festival will also be highlighted the "All You Can Eat" Durian Buffet at a fee of RM15 per pax only. Starting from the 11th till 13th of September, the Durian Buffet is the crowd puller for the fruit festival. Durian fans are all invited to come and enjoy this bargain. Terms and conditions apply.

A "Miss Fruitti" competition will also be held where contestants will be adorning fruit inspired designed costumes.

Opening ceremony by Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Panglima Musaa Haji Aman, Sabah Chief Minister witness by others.

Supported by the Agriculture Department, FAMA, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah, Tourism Malaysia,RTM, Fruito Juice Bar and Juara Gym, this event is opened to public starting from 10am till 9pm daily.
