Welcome Aboard From Kota Kinabalu city to Palawan.A Journey with SuperStar Aquarius by AlfredAllenKK (Blog Part 01)

At 1st i hesitate to travel in 2015 after certain unfortunate event happening around in aviation industries. Traveling totally not in my diary listing to start my 2015 plan. Most of the time my family will travel whenever they have a chance locally or even internationally. i give plenty of excuses that i don't want to travel and wishing them enjoy their trip. My last travel was back in 2010 visiting my youngest sister who practical study at Taiwan, She graduate and my family have to travel over to companion her to come back. The trip was good as my mom sponsors me the whole expenses...Thanks MOM!

This time around they plan in advance to go holiday not far from Sabah to Palawan Philippines and via Star Cruise. i rejecting their idea to travel on ship as i hate being seasick with all the big wave and thinking of titanic! They secretly bought my ticket and end up force me to renew my passport that's when i have no choice but to obey...And again my trip fully sponsors...Thanks MOM!

My mom together with my youngest sister and (Future brother-in Law) and a group of GCC Church member have book the whole holiday route with MATTHEWPAUL Tours & Travel Sdn Bhd and getting the offer package for SuperStar Aquarius and with Puerto Princesa Tour Package B....Wait a minute! i thought i only packing my things and go up to the ship that's it....why suddenly Puerto Princesa come out? >< So i done some research about the place and it was at Philippines. Okay fine! this time i cant argue more as they have fully purchase the package and there is no turning back...all i do is waiting for the traveling day...

Traveling date 04th Jan 2015 Depart and 07th Jan 2015 Travel back.

I packing all my necessary stuff and bring my whole desk of things my lappy...paperwork...file....etc after all its just another boring trip why not i bring my work on board and do it while traveling and then enjoyyy the day inside the cruise. i expecting there was FREE wifi so i can lay down comfortably in my room and start writing and designing for my coming event. (Aboard and find out the wifi was down! Perfect! now i have to facing the sea the whole journey!)

Traveling and going up to the ship.... After go through all the check-point and check-in finally we on board!

Good by KK see you next week!

Sunny day when sailing off from Kota Kinabalu jetty.

EXTRAVAGANZA FENG SHUI UPDATE 2015 KOTA KINABALU by JEANETTE SEE

The coming year of the Wood Sheep holds out much promise, but to feel the full abundance impact of the new year, you will need to be patient because the second half of the year is a lot better than the first half.

The charts that symbolize the destiny luck of 2015 predict challenging times in the near future, particularly the first half; it is going to be a year that is strongly affected by anger energy. Easy conflict and strong misunderstandings seem to be the order of the day. The first half of the year looks difficult, almost it seems like a continuation of the current tail-end of the volatile and shocking Horse year.

Thankfully, the Paht Chee chart i.e. the FOUR PILLARS of the new year seem to indicate the presence of sobering good sense, when even enemies will reach out to solve problems diplomatically. Indeed when you look at the destiny chart of the year carefully, there appears to be great potential. Those who have the courage to dig deep for opportunity will indeed find treasures and success. Businesses can continue to build on what they started in previous years, and for those keen on diversifying, the year 2015 offers some truly exciting opportunities they can build on.

Knowing how to do so could be your chance to latch onto something truly BIG as the year's destiny stars brought by the 24 Mountains of the compass have some BIG AUSPICIOUS stars.

THE NEWLY REIMAGINED XC60 IS NOW AVAILABLE IN SABAH

Volvo Car Malaysia unveils its new modular powertrain, Drive-E, in the XC60 T5 and XC60 T6

KOTA KINABALU – The newly redesigned XC60 will be available in two exciting variants – XC60 T5 & XC60 T6, through Volvo Car Malaysia’s authorised dealer in Sabah, Angkatan Hebat. Both variants will be equipped by the highly anticipated Drive-E Powertrain – a modular engine platform which will complement future Volvos built on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA).

The reimagined exterior will showcase a new hood shape and chrome bar grille which emphasizes the car’s width, together with prominent horizontal lines that will visually connect the car to the road. The tailpipes are now integrated with the diffuser and act as a visual link to the new engine. Slight touches were made to the interior, including silk metal décor inlays and frames and paddle shifters.

“In order to achieve our vision of a safer future, we are offering customers a greater range of accessibility to our products by making luxury and critical safety technologies more affordable on one end of the spectrum and showcasing our latest safety innovations and high-end performance on the other,” said Keith Schäfer, Managing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia.

Speech by Mr. Keith Schafer Managing Director of Volvo Cars Malaysia Sdn Bhd
Volvo is committed in achieving its vision statement, in which “by 2020, nobody shall be seriously injured or killed in a new Volvo,” by constantly developing technological innovations that will make cars safer to drive. Both engine variants will be mated with an 8-speed Geartronic transmission that is sure to deliver a refined drive and excellent fuel economy.

AESTHETICS & CONVENIENCE
The new XC60 T6 and XC60 T5 carries the same exterior and interior updates save for a few differences. The XC60 T5 is fitted with 17” Valder Alloy wheels with 235/65R17 tyres compared to the XC60 T6’s 8” Pan Alloy wheels with 235/60R18 tyres. The XC60 T6 will also feature an 8” Adaptive Digital Display, a power operated tailgate and a grocery bag holder in the cargo area.

Available colours & optional accessories
Buyers can choose from five exterior colours – Twilight Bronze, Ice White, Ember Black, Electric Silver, and Seashell and a host of optional accessories including the Iron Stone exterior styling kit, primed-colour running board and silver aluminium steps, mouldings for the front and rear, and also the 20” Diamond Cut or Iron Stone Alloy wheels.

Adaptive Digital Display*
The Adaptive Digital Display, which debuted in the all-new V40 T5, uses an active TFT (Thin Film Transistor) crystal display to bring the driver personalised information. There are three themes to choose from: Elegance, Eco and Performance.

The default mode Elegance has a classic look and layout. The Eco mode has a green colour theme and is designed to encourage and reward a fuel-efficient driving style. Performance features red illumination, and a rev scale instead of the speedometer displayed in the Elegance and Eco versions.

*Only available in the XC60 T6

All-new infotainment system – Sensus Connect

The Digital Display theme colours are also echoed in the all-new connected infotainment system. It features a refreshed HMI with a number of innovative functions, such as:
  • Cloud-based services integrated into the car, enabling future functionality updates
  • Improved navigation with 3D maps, local search, and send-to-car remote destination setting
  • TuneIn Internet radio (with 80,000 channels), and music streaming through Bluetooth
  • Voice control of most infotainment and navigation functions*

*Only available in the XC60 T6

POWERTRAIN
The XC60 T5 is powered by a 4-cylinder Drive-E engine which produces 245hp at 5,500rpm and a maximum torque 350Nm at 1,500-4,800rpm. Whilst the engine offers greater output than the previous generation, it still retains class-leading fuel consumption figures for petrol engines in the segment and improved CO2 emissions at a 157g/km.

The new T6 Drive-E engine has an output of 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque – doing the century sprint in just 6.9 seconds. The engine features a class-leading combination of a compressor and a turbo charger. Using the supercharger to fill in the bottom end gives the engine a big, naturally aspirated feel. The mechanically linked compressor starts to function immediately at low revs, while the turbocharger kicks in when the airflow builds up. Fuel consumption with new 8-speed automatic is 7.3 l/100 km (169 g/km) in the XC60.

SAFETY TECHNOLOGIES EXCLUSIVE TO THE NEW XC60 T6

IntelliSafe, Volvo's blanket name for all active safety systems, is an important part of the driver-centric approach in the XC60. Several key technologies will debut in the XC60 T6:

Permanent high beam with groundbreaking technology*
The new Active High Beam Control eliminates the need to switch between low and high beam. Instead, Active High Beam Control makes it possible keep the headlights on high beam continuously.

When another car approaches from the opposite direction, the system helps to prevent dazzling of the oncoming driver by shading out only as much of the beam as necessary. This is done by an ingenious projector module mechanism integrated into the headlamp. The same benefit applies to drivers in preceding cars.

New Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection technology*
New advanced software, including more rapid vision processing, has now made it possible to extend Volvo Cars' present detection and auto brake technology to cover certain cyclist situations as well.

The new Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection with full auto brake is equipped with an advanced sensor system that scans the area ahead. If a cyclist heading in the same direction as the car suddenly swerves out in front of the car as it approaches from behind and collision is imminent, there is an instant warning and full braking power is applied.

The technology also detects if a pedestrian steps out into the road in front of the car. If the driver does not respond in time, the car can warn and automatically activate the brakes.

*Only available in the XC60 T6

WORLD-LEADING TECHNOLOGIES THAT KEEPS YOU SAFE

The XC60 T6 will see the inclusion of several proven safety technologies such as Driver Alert Control (DAC)* – a world-first innovation that registers the car's progress on the road and alerts drivers whom are not concentrating; Lane Departure Warning (LDW)* – which alerts the driver with a gentle warning sound if the car crosses one of the road markings without an obvious reason such as use of the turn indicator; and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Queue Assist and Distance Alert* - a radar-based system which maintains the set time gap to the vehicle in front all the way down to standstill, making this comfort-enhancing system usable in slow-moving queues with repeated starting and stopping.

Road Sign Information - an extra "eye" on the traffic environment*
Road Sign Information supports the driver by displaying road signs in the instrument display. Road Sign Information can be combined with the Speed Alert function, which provides the driver with a visual warning in the speedometer if the speed limit is exceeded

Electrical Power Assist Steering*
The Electrical Power Assist Steering (EPAS), available with the all-new Drive-E engines, uses an electrical motor to support the steering rack, and the driver can choose between three levels of power assistance.

In Low mode the system provides a high degree of power support, making manoeuvring easier. Medium mode has somewhat lower power support to offer more road response at higher speeds. High mode is the ultimate setting for the enthusiastic driver, contributing to the car’s dynamic character.

*Only available in the XC60 T6

SAFETY ASSURANCE ACROSS ALL VARIANTS

City Safety - active up to 50 km/h
Both the XC60 T5 & T6 features an upgraded City Safety system. This system is active at speeds up to 50 km/h. The car automatically brakes if the driver fails to react in time when the vehicle in front slows down or stops - or if the car is approaching a stationary vehicle too fast.

Cornering Light for better visibility
Another innovative option for driving in the dark is the low-speed Cornering Light feature. As an extension of the current Active Bending Light system, it lights up the area the driver is steering towards for safer manoeuvring.

Enhanced Blind Spot Information System - for better visibility
Both the XC60 T5 & T6 offers the enhanced Blind Sport Information System (BLIS), which is radar-based. The technology can now also monitor and alert the driver to rapidly approaching vehicles up to 70 m behind the car. Of course it still informs the driver about vehicles in the blind spots on both sides.

Cross Traffic Alert - covering your back
Cross Traffic Alert uses the radar sensors at the rear end of the car to alert the driver to crossing traffic from the sides when reversing out of a parking space. This is especially helpful in tight and crowded areas where the side view might be limited due to infrastructure, vegetation or other parked cars.
